The Health Bus will be visiting neighbourhoods in Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Thurrock throughout January and February 2026.
This is a free service that offers quick health checks in your local area, or right on your street.
What is the Thames Freeport Health Bus?
The Health Bus is a trial of a free to use service to bring health checks closer to communities and where you live. It provides drop-in checks for diabetes and high blood pressure.
The service is delivered by trained pharmacists who will also offer to share your results with your GP, helping you access follow-up support.
This service is made possible by the growing investment in our region through the Freeport initiative, ensuring that the benefits of this growth are reinvested into improving public services where they matter most.
Where will it be?
The Health Bus will stop at multiple sites in Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Thurrock from January 12th to March 4th.
It will be parked in local community spaces, markets, and at events across the three councils.
Visit the timetable at the bottom of this page for more details.

Individuals who are pregnant may have specific or complex health needs and therefore are not eligible to use this service.
