A 21ST CENTURY CITY INITATIVE: TRANSFORMING THE FUTURE OF CARE

As part of the Freeport’s vision to create a 21st Century City, we have established an Accelerator focused on transforming the future of care, starting with addressing the challenges faced within Adult Social Care.

It presents an opportunity for emerging technologies to test their solutions with a network of forward thinking care providers. The Accelerator scales the most impactful solutions across the care ecosystem by connecting corporates, local authorities and the communities we serve, with a focus on building genuine growth opportunities.

Our Vision

To unlock the full potential of technology across health and care.

  • Enable our population to live healthier lives
  • Deliver vital support for our carers

A GROWING CRISIS
IN CARE

Our care system is under strain, struggling to meet the growing volume and complexity of needs. This challenge is only set to intensify as our over 65 population continues to expand and more of those individuals face chronic conditions that require long-term care.

We are looking to collaborate with innovative startups that can transform how care is delivered, enhancing the quality of life for the adult population and their carers. We believe that technology can help to ease this crisis by helping elderly people stay independent for longer and by reducing the burden on carers.
